The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, a Wyndham Luxury Resort is just minutes outside of Tucson and
is an oasis of championship golf courses and natural beauty. The majestic Catalina
Mountains provide visitors with wonderful surroundings and opportunities of exploration by
horseback or by foot. The resort's proximity to the city allows visitors to experience Old
Pueblo or the metropolitan Tucson for spas, shopping, galleries and museums and return to
the Southwestern hospitality of the lodge with ease.
The Suites are Sweet at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon
The Lodge at Ventana Canyon offers a selection of fifty private and spacious suites with
panoramic views, Southwestern charm, and luxurious amenities. The rooms are decorated with
a flair for the Southwest and the well-known art and Mission-style furniture
it has inspired. The full service kitchens in the suites give the guests that feeling of a
home away from home, however, there are plenty of dining options within the resort so that
one can avoid cooking while on vacation. Plush bathrobes are draped over a roomy claw
footed bathtub in an old-fashioned bathroom. Private terraces are ideal for enjoying
sunrise, sunset, or any time of day with a spectacular view from any suite. Modern day
needs are accommodated with a workspace, Internet access, air-conditioning and cable
television.
The Best Ways to Spend the Day
Step outside of the intimate pleasures of your room to participate in a variety of outdoor
activities on the vast grounds of The Lodge at Ventana Canyon. Spend an afternoon on one
of two Tom Fazio golf courses, or play tennis anytime on lighted courts. Swim, splash and
relax at the Olympic size pool, or take a desert canyon excursion on horseback.
While out on the golf course, stop by the Golf House Grill, next to the driving range, for
a quick snack or sandwich. After a full day of action or relaxation, or for a Sunday
brunch, The Hearthstone is the perfect locale for fine dining. Sit in a warm atmosphere
near the enormous fieldstone fireplace while looking out on the Catalina Mountains and the
lush golf courses. Local wildlife frequent the terrace and Arizona's cacti, mesquite
trees, and palo verdes grace the scenery. The Sierra Bar is excellent for a more casual
dining experience or a "friendly drink by the fire". Wherever you opt to dine, the evening
will be warmed by that famous Southwestern charm and hospitality.
Things to do in Tucson
If you decide to leave The Lodge at Ventana Canyon for the day or an evening out, there is
an abundance of things to do and see in Tucson. The knowledgeable staff
at the resort will graciously push you in the right direction and solve any questions or
needs you might have. There is a Tram that runs every half hour for a mere five dollars,
and will take you to the Nature and Wildlife at Sabino Canyon. A quick trip takes you into
the Catalina Mountains and allows you to hop off at any of five stops along the way to
hike or walk in a naturally beautiful setting. There are also plenty of museums and
galleries that house the paintings and pottery the Southwest is famous for. El Presidio
Gallery is one of the best stops to make and it is found amidst several other galleries,
gift shops and jewelry stores. For a more personal pampering kind of day, disappear into
Desert Reflections for a massage, yoga, steam and sauna in a peaceful and calming
environment. Return to your suite at Ventana Canyon invigorated and enlightened after a
day in Tucson.
Why Not Plan a Trip
